The splitter box, also known as a Multiport box, is ideal for connecting multiple NMEA2000 units in a single location, for example, behind the instrument panel. This box eliminates the need for multiple T-connectors and drop cables in the same location. This saves weight, money, and time during installation. The box is connected to a T-connector on the NMEA2000 network using a drop cable.
