Flatdeck; Facnor's most revolutionary roller reefing system. No cumbersome reefing line, but a polyester webbing on the drum. This eliminates the need for a high drum. The Flatdeck replaces all conventional reefing systems with a reefing line. The webbing rolls up neatly when the jib is deployed. The line is attached to the end of the webbing with a swivel for operation from the cockpit. Special stanchion blocks ensure the webbing runs smoothly aft. The drum has an open Torlon bearing. These are easy to clean with a flush port. The major advantages of the Facnor Flatdeck are:

• Neck angle low on the deck
• No line getting stuck in the drum
• Easy handling thanks to large diameter drum. The Flatdeck can be ordered as a separate drum (to order) or as a complete system (see article numbers below). The complete system consists of: drum, profiles, short link plates, halyard swivel, and combined tape/reefing line. As a separate drum, the FD drum fits all current Facnor systems with a drum (LS, RX, and RC).
