These drop and backbone cables are universal and can be used in any NMEA 2000 network, including those from other manufacturers. The cables feature 18AWG conductors, which minimizes the risk of voltage drop and ensures high reliability of the NMEA 2000 network. Each drop cable has a maximum length of 6 meters, and a maximum of 78 meters of drop cable may be installed in an NMEA 2000 network. The maximum length of the backbone cable is 100 meters.
